The Big NEWS!

At Western Building Center in Columbia Falls the other day, buying spray paint for our new business sign we were making.

Went to check out at the register and saw a familiar face. The woman behind the counter, who I have talked to and been helped by dozens of times in the past, asked “what’s the name on the account again?”

I smiled and replied “Creative Combinations Montana.”

“That’s right” she said, she continued to look up our account and finish checking me out.

Standing next to her, a new face at the counter I had not seen, said, “wow, that’s a mouth full of a name!”

Laughing, I said, “It sure is! So much so that we are changing our business name!”

That interaction at WBC, was a perfect example of why we have decided to officially rename and rebrand Creative Combinations Montana to (drum roll please 🥁) Glacier Metalwork.

Creative Combinations Montana has served us so well over the last 6 years and we have loved and lived the name fully.

“Creative Combinations Montana, creatively combining art and function, metal and wood, new and used materials to create metal art, functional art and metal and wood furniture.”

The name felt fun, intentional, and creative to us… as long as we could get the explanation in there too.

Celebrated 6 years of Creative Combinations Montana with our incredible community!

Over the years, it became obvious, that the name Creative Combinations Montana without the “explanation” was very nondescript and very challenging for people to remember. Which as a business, is not really quite ideal.

With a helpful nudge from Joseph at Big Drift Marketing, we are now officially stepping into our next chapter of creating and into our next adventure as Glacier Metalwork.

We chose Glacier Metalwork for a few reasons:

  • Having Metalwork in the name helps folks know and remember what it is we do.

  • Metalwork in our name also helps people find us who are looking for custom/customized metalwork, metal art, and custom metal business/home signs.

  • We chose Glacier for area description, giving people an idea of what area in Montana we are based out of.

  • Glacier National Park has also been near and dear to our hearts for many years, kayaking on the lakes, hiking in the mountains and cross country skiing, we are constantly in awe of the beauty in every season.

  • Glacier has been a huge source of inspiration for our metal mountain art for years. The glacier carved peaks and valleys offer endless inspiration and creative ideas.

  • Glacier is also a throw back nod to time Kelsey spent in the backcountry of the Yukon Territory with the National Outdoor Leadership School, glacier mountaineering. Glacier’s are stunning, breathtaking, they hold history, and power in them, literally carving and creating the landscape as they move, shift, and change.

We are excited for this new season of business and the adventures it will bring!

We will continue to create epic steel art work, functional metal art, and custom metalwork, and focus on continuing to get better and better along the way!

Thank you so much for being here for this adventure with us as we step into our new journey with Glacier Metalwork!

We appreciate you and our incredible community so much!

Keep an eye on our online shop, social media and website as we transition to Glacier Metalwork and begin creating new metal art designs, functional art and more!

Spread the word, and if you or someone you know is looking for speciality, custom metalwork, business/home signs, or metal art, please send them our way. Thank you so much!

Cheers,

Nate and Kelsey, shop dogs Towgee and Opey

Did we just finish our new Lake McDonald metal art truck rack 5 weeks before we decided to change our business name?… Yes, yes we did. Updated truck rack coming soon ;)
